I couldnt find anything in searches or reading around but what are the specific requirements to host a wow server? Is it possible to host it online instead of a computer system?
I was wondering if it could be hosted with a webhost that has mysql capabilities.

You would need access to a dedicated server, as webhosts do not allow execution. A dedicated server will cost you a nice chunk, but there are some pretty decent deals. Just google it.
