[RELEASE] TRAINERS Spell Fix Guide.

Hello everyone

Well we all know that Mortal Strike and other spells are buged. We see them in trainer books but when you click on it , it says you missing rank1 or it doesnt teach you it.

Untill Now Cosa Nostra used SKILL NPC dll file.

These times are now over.

Well after messing around. I got rid of ALL DLL scripts on my server...

Here is an easiest fix ever!

We wIll use Mortal Strike As an example.

rank 3 21552
rank 4 21553
rank 5 25248
rank 6 30030
---------------------

Open your Databse and open table Trainer_spells
( i use HeidiSQL for faster editing)

in search button type 21551 (which is rank 1 MS)

DO NOT TOUCH CASTSPELL ROW UNDER ANY CURCUMSTANCES!

in Collumn ReqSPELL you will see 21551

Now whats need to be changed is Collumn REQSPELL ONLY

REPLACE 21551 WITH 0

just as you see on my pic..

Same goes for other ranks of MS , do the same process

Same goes for any other buged skill that doesnt let you learn it, cause it says you already have it.

this is NCDB table editing. IT DOESNT MATTER WHICH REVISION OR NCDB YOU USE

just checked. latest NCDB with latest ascent, works jsutr as fine as with any other

I have a noob question..well 2. 1. mortal strike 30030 doesnt show up when I look for reqspell...does that mean its already set to 0?

2. how do i look up a spell like mortal strike in the db that shows the spell name so i can fix other spells...thanks

tyoe name of spell. it wil give you id at end of URL.

open trainer_spells

search for that spell id

yep. best way to go is WOWHEAD or thottbot
