damn it sure has been a while what i need is a full guide on how to make an ascent server. i havent worked on servers since like rev 900 lol so i've forgotten alot. hopefully some of this can help

If you want to start a new server you should probably use a more stable branch because these new ones aren't stable and could cause you unexpected problems. Stable 2.0 Ascent is the way to go =).

hummm yeah, my sqlyog seems to crash everytime i try to put a revision in. i tried to empty it and retry and everything..any suggestions?

use ncdb rev 584 it will work...

look for an option called "skip extended insert" when creating the ncdb backup. with this option enabled, it prevents the dump from consiting of over-lengthy insert lines.
any entry gets one insert line. not perfect, but should prevent trouble restoring the dump.
on default, extended-insert is enabled, and its value depends on "max_allowed_packet".
but no clue, what value fits best.
if this skip-extended-insert option is not available, try mysqldump with this option:
mysqldump.exe -u USER -p PASSWORD --skip-extended-insert ncdb > ncdb.sql
