well,i'm new to the WoW emu thing,although i did used to host a RO server before.
i followed kiasta's guide mostly,and the server worked for me,although i do have some problems:
1) the monsters hardly drop any equipment or items,even when they're on 1000x drop rate,i fail to get any epic,blue,green or even white items from monsters lvl 55 and up
2) it seems like instance portals are not working? or is this just BRD that does this (since it's the only one i tried)
i then tried the SDB files from jean_velix's tutorial,and now the server gives me an error going like this:
the map files i have now are from version 1.12.12007-01-06 05:42:24 ERROR:Map file 'C:\mangos/maps/0004331.map' is non-compatible version (outdated?). Please, create new using ad.exe program.
2007-01-06 05:42:24 ERROR:Correct *.map files not found by path 'C:\mangos/maps'. Please place *.map files in directory by this path or correct DataDir value in mangosd.conf file.
i hope someone can help me out,and i'm sorry if there's other threads just like this one.
