[TEXT EDITOR] - PSPad - The BEST Editor...

After a few requests i have decided to write a little tutorial...
This will show everyone what PSPad is and how to use it...

This guide has also been posted for the public community @

    -------------------------------------------------------------
    NADAsoft GM PSPad TUTORIAL
    -------------------------------------------------------------
from DJRavine @ NADAsoft.ath.cx Private WoW

1ST. Here is a blurb from the PSPAD website...
    Quote:
    Current PSPad version: 4.5.1 (2207) - 1 May 2006

PSPad editor is freeware programmer editor, useful for people who:

    * work with various programming environments
    * like highlighted syntax in code
    * need a small tool with simple controls and the capabilities of a mighty code editor
    * are looking for a tool to work with plain text
    * want to save money and still have the functionality of professional products

2ND. Here are the download links...
Download PSPad Installer - 3.17 MB
Download PSPad Installer - 3.17 MB [MIRROR]

    3RD. Install the application...
After it has installed... Open PSPad...

4TH. Goto where you extracted the SCRIPTS.ZIP,
    Locate the file areatriggers.scp...
DRAG & DROP the areatriggers.scp file into PSPad...

5TH. Now the ID#'s for the command .gotrigger ID# is open... use the [areatrigger ID#]
TO SEARCH FOR ANYTHING AT ALL
eg Items Names, NPC/MOB Names, Locations, any ID#'s,
    any tags 'buyprice=4000000' or ANYTHING...
It merely searches for a text string..
Use the 'Search / Replace in Files...' Function...

6TH. Once the 'Search / Replace in Files...' Window is open...
Use the 'Text to Find:' text box to enter what you would like to search for...
Now in the 'Search Scope' section of the window...
'Select Directory' and browse to where you extracted the SCRIPTS.ZIP...
    Then Hit OK...
In this tutorial i will be searching for the 'Chronos Backpack'...
But i will only search for 'backpack' to show you guys how to navigate the search results...

7TH. A message box should appear after the search is complete...

8TH. Once the other windows close you show see a results panel in the bottom section of PSPad...
Click the |+| box next to the most likely culpret...
In this case it will be 'ns_items_superior.scp'...
It should then drop down a list of all the occourances of the found search in that file...
Locate the one named 'name=Chronos Backpack' and double click it...
BTW: The '4802:' besides the 'name=Chronos Backpack' is the line number...

9TH. You can hit the |X| on the results panel to close the panel...
Now its as easy as a double click on the item number to select it...
Then Copy [ctrl+c] and in the WoW chat type '.add ' and then Paste [ctrl+v] in the item number...

    -------------------------------------------------------------------
AND THERE YOU HAVE IT... ENJOY EASY SEACHING
