hi,

ive made sum posts this week about my server not working how it should.

Basically i have tried every rev from 1603 and up to the very latest rev ive used ncdb 2.0 and 2.1 ive tried chrispee dtabases and life 0.1 but still n joy.

what has been happening is that wen u type:

.learn 201 (sword for example)

it says u learn the skill,but it does'nt add it it to the character,and this is has been my prblem mainly besides naked chars and items dissarpering.

now i have thinned it down to the exact problem

.learn <id>
.learnskill <id> <min> <max>
.recall add

these do not work in any rev or any database for me..but if u log out then back in your character has the skills you learnt but it will NOT let you use the skill unless u log out?

anyone know a solution to this?

it wont let your char have the skill whilst your logged in to warcraft but if u log out then back in you can use it.

so scernario is:

u want to learn two hand swords you type .learn 201 to learn it, it says
"you have learned a new skill" but you still cant use swords.
so you log out,then back in again and you can use it.

anyone help me with this? ive spent since monday-to now to get this far?

i have fixed the ascent crashes and nakeed chars and eall the other sql bugs,but this is just sumthing i cant work out now.
anyone who is more experienced help at all?

ive never used the .learn xxx (SPELL) to learn skills... like sword, maces, defense, professinos, riding, etc...


your example: (skill: sword one hand)
get a lvl70 (their max skill is at 350.... ou less if low lvl... each lvl has a max)

type:
.unlearnsk 43
than:
.learnsk 43 350 350

or riding apprentice:
.unlearnsk 762
.learnsk 762 75 75

i know how to skill up and things,which is fine
.learnskill 202 350 350 is what i type to learn two handswords and it says it learns it!

however u still cant use a two handed sword until AFTER! you log out then back in again then the skill of two swords is applied and works!
so basically it doesnt let me use any skill i want ie sword, maces, defense, professinos, riding, etc...until after i log out and back in.

which is a big problem.
anyone???????

someone try it out so u know what i mean

make yurself a char,go in game and try and learn a new skill,it says u learn it but then try and use a sword with one hand or sumthin and u wil see it doesn't work.
so then log out then back in,and u wil be able to use it.

i need a fix for this guys.

My suggestion is to download the latest BD from svn and use one of the latest
ascent cores (im using 1995) and try again...
Recommended client 2.2.3..
