    Updating Database w/o destroying data

I have been trying to figure out how to update my SQL database tables and colums from an Ascent Rev25xx to a Ascent Rev40xx without destroying the characters and other information on the current database. Either im not using the correct keywords in the search, it's very well hidden or it's just not possible...

The SQL updates I've found available dont offer an update of the DB without destroying the content of the database.

Can anyone help me with this?

    Respectfully
    Pendragon

If you follow this advice to the letter your likely to screw up your database. What you need to do is execute each sql update in order for the proper database. You should be able to get all sql updates from the svn. There in the sql folder. Since your using Ascent Rev25xx there will be a ton of sql updates. Just make sure you back up your old dbs and update each one executing each sql update in order from Ascent Rev25xx to the revision your currently want to run.

on NCDB tool, just back up your character tables, install the new database, and voila! restore the characters and then you should be done
