Used to use EMU but now Mango
I used to use an EMU of WoW on a local host and was able to edit things quite easily on it. I knew where all the files for the inventory items and mob's were but now I'm using a mango's one and the files that I used to just open and edit there and then don't allow me to do that anymore. When I got the mango's from someone they explained that it wouldn't work like that and that I'd need SQL software. Which he gave me copies of heidi and mysql with the mango's but I can't get them to work. All I really need to know is how to edit the variables and create new weapons, armour's etc. I've considered setting up a private server for me and a few friends to use that only we would have access to but I don't want to do that until I've made it so that atleast half of the stuff in it will be custom created for what we'd be doing.
The Mango's that I'm running is "AC Web Ultimate Repack".
Thanks

Re: Used to use EMU but now Mango
Can a GM remove this thread please? I don't need the question answering anymore I've decided to scrap what I've done so far and start over following the instructions from dagamerc13's tutorial on setting up a mango server rather than using the repack that I have

You may want to consider learning ascent, if you're going to learn a new setup anyways.
It has far more user support. I remember a vote being done here "Mangos vs Ascent". Ascent won by like 70%. It's the better emulator.
Just a suggestion. :)

also ascent eats less memory but is a bit more complicated.. But i think its FTW, since they were fast with the 2.3 support etc.
If u still want to try out mangos or need some good pack, i suggest taking this one :
Reaper Mangos 5225 - Easy WoW 2.3.3 Private Server Reaper-X .:[ ID ]:.
