    Very Strange Problem

I used mangos 3734 and db with changeset 190 from the latest binary posting. I got a bunch of quest errors as mangosd started to run but the strangest thing that occured is the fact that mobs, level 1 mobs, aren't taking damage. Well I mean they are taking damage if and only if I make my char, blood elf hunter, lvl 255 and use the Rank 5 attacks. Hit one mana wyrm for 512 and the health bar barely moved.

Any ideas at all as I'm at a complete loss.

How did you install the database? Did you have to import several different .sql files to bring it up to changeset 190?

If I had to make a guess, it would be that you did things in the wrong order. Assuming you don't have any accounts that you need to hold on to, blow away your current database and start from scratch.

What has worked for me is the following order for pulling the .sql files:

    - Create 'mangos' and 'realmd' databases manually
    - Execute mangos.sql from the sql/ folder of your installation.
    - Execute realmd.sql from the sql/ folder of your installation. (Or, alternately, a tbc_realmd.sql that you got from somewhere else.)
    - Execute the 'base' .sql file of the database you downloaded
    - Execute each of the changesets in numerical order. It is important that you do each of the secondary updates in any given folder (e.g., 3611_spell_learn_skill.sql and 3616_commands.sql) before running the 'main' changeset file (e.g., changeset_185.sql).

if i remember correctly they stated on the sdb website that they recommended that people dont use rev 190 and wait until rev 191 as there were issues.

    This is 100% true..

DO NOT use changeset 190, instead install silvermoons rev6 clean, and wait for 191 changeset, for more information on this matter and for other database problems, visit thier forums.

    Re: Very Strange Problem

Thanks for the information everyone and yes Jerkstore that's exactly how I did it. I'll blow out the db again and not use 190 now knowing that it has a problem.

    Be easy,

P.S. That fixed it. Stopped at 189 and no problems at all.
