Wan, Lan & Router Help
Need help not sure how much damage i did now
I started off following DJRavine's Guide @ WoWps.org and when that didnt work i went to every board out there on this subject
Now the above mentioned Guide tells you to change your .CONF files for both realm and mangos im not clear if you should or shouldnt or maybe it realy makes no difference?
ok on to my issues at hand
#1. I can not access my website out side of my LAN using my no-ip DNS ( I can connect inside the lAN if i use the Hosts IP)
(I am currently using XAMP, and the website i have is Webow BL for MaNGOS)
#2. I can not connect to the game server at all LAN or WAN I can only connect using the Host (the server is running correctly)
#3. I have added my IP = DNS to the HOSTS file below the localhost and IP. (Example: 192.168.1.111 myserver.servegame.com)
#4. I have changed the realmlist in mysql/SQLyog to my no-ip DNS (Example:ID=1. Name= myserver. Address=myserver.servegame.com)
#5. I have Forward the necessary Ports on my router to the host. Example: ports 80. 8080. 8085. 3724,& 3443 all are forwarded to IP 192.168.1.111) <if im missing a port let me know....
#6. My .CONF file for both realmd and mangosd are as follows....
Mangosd.conf
LoginDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;root;********;realmd"
WorldDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;root;********;mangos"
Realmd.conf
LoginDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;root;********;realmd"
I still can not connect to the server or my website
IMPORTANT NOTE: about the website i was able to connect to it after i forwarded port in my router and BEFORE i changed my realmlist or HOSTS file.
please help if you can ....
I have been working on this for over a week now
SIDE NOTE:
I have read that the amount of caracters in your DNS may cause problems so this is the DNS that i am currently using: (cygnus-a.servegame.com) could this be causing an issue ???
again Thank you for your help
thank you
