[Wats the difference beteween Ascent and Mangos

Mangos = ?

Since I never started playing WoW
I decided to try it, but I saw the Ascent section and Mangos section
could someone tell me the difference?

Ascent is lower emulator
Ascent have more bugs and to low gameobjects
Ascent is for fun servers

Mangos have lower bugs
Mangos dont have hack protection
Mangos is more stable
Mangos is hight emulator
Mangos is for blizzlike servers
Mangos have more gameobjects

In fact mangos have better hack protaction in all cases except movement case.

I dunno what he is talking about. Antrix and all of its later incarnations seem to be more stable if not slower in devlopment than mangos ever was for me. And you can have blizzlike or funservers on either of them.

What should I choose?

Tried a ascent repack once... but did delete it after like 5 minutes of trying out because there was to much not working compared to my mangos server.
If u want to know what to choose i would just setup both latest cores.. and latest db's of your choice and play on them for a while to find out which one u like most.
I wouldn't use repacks for testing out because they often are using older core revisions and database releases and give the wrong impression.
Oh yeah... maybe i should do that myself once instead deciding to stay with mangos because i hated the ascent repack i tried :P

Yeah well you could do that but make sure you find the LUA scripts for your ascent antrix arcemu etc. you need them for a lot of quests , mobs, items to fucntion.
