    What is the right way to install and patch WoW and TBC?

    I've tried setting up the Mangos TBC 2.0.12 server and I keep encountering missing file issues (in particular, the maps folder) and after several attempts I've come to the conclusion that maybe I'm just using the wrong clients, or if anything, I'm not installing them properly.

    So far, I have these two:

    - WoW-2.0.0-enUS-Installer
    - WoW-BurningCrusade-enUS-Full-Installer

    I've noticed that there are tons of patches available for this game and I wouldn't be surprised if I'm supposed to use some of them.

    So basically, I'm asking for help in two things:

    1) What patches should I be downloading?
    2) In what order should I install the clients and patches?

    for that version its better to go to that version...
    so from 2.0.x to 2.0.3 then from 2.0.3 to 2.0.10 and the last 2.0.10 to 2.0.10 i think thats the best option...

    In your mangos.conf file make sure that it points to where the maps folder is, for instance I have my maps and dbc folders in a folder called data, so in mangos.conf I changed the DataDir line to look like this:
    DataDir = "./data/"

    Thanks! So I guess by that you mean I should install the WoW base client first, patch it all the way up to 2.0.10 (or I guess I could go to 2.0.12 since that's the latest version), and then install TBC expansion?

    Edit: Okay. After doing numerous installations I'm beginning to think that maybe I'm supposed to install the base client first, then TBC, and then the patches from 2.0.x to 2.0.3, and 2.0.3 to 2.0.12. Hopefully this order works...

    Thanks for the heads up! I'll try to keep this in mind when I start setting up the server.
