maps.compressed is an empty file
Last edited by IAmParadox; 21-01-07 at 05:35 AM. Reason: many empty files...definately someone's sick idea of a joke.
Fake.
The ports it 'opens' can't be pinged.
If the O.P. had waited for April 1st, this would have been a good April fool's joke. :-)
Ahaha... its so funny watching you guys talk about this nonsense, OFCOURSE it's a fake, can't you see that the ports don't even get open, try pinging 127.0.0.1, ANOTHER THING, there is no account for this junk:
MyEmu<----MySQL Username
MyPass<---MySQL Password
They are not the emu login details. When extracted this file is 28MB, IMPOSSIBLE, even if it is highly compressed, 28MB... NO CHANCE. 99.9% Spells working? Ahahahahaha. There is no working website or scripts, they are just empty folders. FOR THE NUB-CAKES WHO ARE GOING TO TRY THIS ANYWAY, YOU NEED TO CHANGE YOUR RESOLUTION TO 1028x1024, DO YOU KNOW WHY? BECAUSE THIS IS A...
FAKE!!!

lol, sounds like somthing Demsco was talking about. And we all know he is full of sh!t.
I have inspected the .dlls and they do seem Fishy as Paradox said, and the empty folders are just a trick for fooling noobs, like the scripts, and php and website folders. And that maps.compressed file, HAH you can't be serious, no way in hell can this be a 99.9% server.
It is more like a 100% piece of garbage, and I would say to anyone don't waste your time downloading this waste of bits.

What's the point in posting fake shit like this? Do you get off on it or something?
Is it really a fake?
another runwow story :)
soon mangos or kobold are gonna relase a official 2.0.5 server (LIKE ALWAYS) :)
Dont think so I think mangos will jump to BC
More like this is a backdoor remote virus, I would ban this guy from the forums for lieing and doing something like that.
Yup. All the .compressed files are empty. I opened it in a hex editor and the whole file consists of AD 0A repeating itself over and over again.
VirusTotal found nothing in Startserver.exe. All the other exes have the same AD 0A pattern. It looks like we dodged a bullet here. No viruses.
On a side note I can't believe I was stupid enough to fall for this prank. I never even noticed the dlls were written by Microsoft.
