Alright I'll pick up where this guy left off I guess, I'm currently trying out installing the 5991 installer because I've heard lots of reports about it working with this Mangos release. Get the patch here:

Alright another forum I've checked said to patch to the above version and then to point your realmlist file at beta.worldofwarcraft.com and let it patch itself to 6144, then switch the realmlist back to your private server and try again.
Oki I have downloaded your new DB and the server runs well.
But like others i have a problem the loot-templets are not accepted from mangos.exe und the second is when i kill some monsters i just become gold but no items is it between the loot-templets or is the problem in an other database. I have incresed the droprate of gold and items but nothing happens.

um.. have you modified the install?
or renamed the folder..
coz you'll have to reinstall..
TBC searches for the windows registry entries...
if not found.. technically you dont have it installed...
i had the same issue..
coz i have a v1.0.0 folder that i just copy + paste...
i have reinstalled it... but after that i had the same prob, but i have more then 1 wow map (1 original, where the patch must install it and 2 sub)
edit: wait after installing the patch 1.12.X to 2.0.1 (6180 :(), will the WoW-2.0.0.5991 patch work! :P

u just installed 2.0.1(6180)...
which is a later version then 2.0.0(5991) ..
but most of the new TBC server are compatible with 2.0.2(6144) ..
so u only should need to update further...
ok i have installed BC WoW-2.0.0 (5991) but need now to 2.0.1 (6114)
or
WoW 2.0.1 (6180) to 2.0.2 (6144)

Blizzard has made this pretty funny. You have to patch you "WoW" to 2.0.1 (6180) before installing Burning Crusade. Then you need to patch Burning Crusade to 2.0.2 (6114).
um.. no u dont.. lol..
u need ANY version installed.. i used v1.0.0... :P

Well I couldn't do it until I had 2.0.1 :| Strange then.
Edit: I was able to enter the game with 2.0.0, but only for a microsecond until an error about free memory came up. Hope it will work with 2.0.2.

It only works with 2.0.2 and it's version 6144. I give this entire release a huge thumbs down, at least from a consumer's perspective. The loot tables are completely not working, not items drop from any mob, just cash. The spawns are completely incorrect (Thrall and 3 Kel'Thuzads in BWL) and the poster seems to be as close to illiterate as you can get while still having a high school education.

That doesn't have a patch from 6080.
6080 is the bc retail is there a way to get that to 6144

i install MANGOS for BC, but if i create a character and Enter World, WOW error and mangos wrote
can't load map "./50144.map". I have WoW client 2.0.1.6180.I need download right DBC files and maps,maybe DB, but where ? Can you help me ?? Thanks
