WoW updates messages

Does anyone know how to stop the client talking to real wow, and giving the update messages, or better still how to adapt to use for us ?

Uh, run wow.exe instead of launcher?

Or do you mean those announcement messages. Perhaps changing your update ip in realmlist.wtf might help.

un ticking the launcher box once logged to char screen stops the messages.

this happens when you login with wow.exe not the launcher.

I want to be able to use this feature for my server updates when peeps log in.

I've actually seen a way to have that announcement feature work for your server. I do believe you have to get everyone that you have log in edit their "hosts" file to get it done tho. Do a search for custom announcements and it should pop up for you.
