I am trying to host the website from one domain (www.mygodaddyacct.com) while hosting the game and Mysql from another domain (www.myhomedomain.com) which is served from my home computer. I cannot use the realmd database from godaddy because its already taken. I tried to point the Mysql server host from the install page to my home domain (www.myhomedomain.com) (also tried my IP address) but it keeps telling me that it cannot connect to the Mysql server. Any ideas from anyone? I did change the page.install.php to allow setup from remote computers not just localhost.
Sorry if this has already been addressed. I did a search for MySql server host and came up short.

Hmm there is no "readme" file ^^I did download it , i cut it into "htdocs" in xampp ...
I opened my IE and i wrote "localhost" .. It gives me that :

After you install, you have to login with an administrator username and password. You can create an account if you dont have one already using the website. Then go into the account table in realmd database with sqlyog or navicat and edit the gmlevel field to 3 and save. Then when u log in to that account you will see a link on the right under quick links that says Site Administration.

you need a read me? lol cmon (i have more important thigs to do than that).. you just need 2 clicks..
admin links as it was said by Xeble76 are in quick links on the right top side and as well on support, the left menu list, though you need to be mod, gm or admin in order to they appear.
edited: a new svn version is now complete with an easier installation page. try it out.
When i try to install the WOW website, i now get this error/message:
"Couldn't save general settings!"
.. and above that, there is a "fopen"-error in PHP-code, the error message is:
"Warning: fopen(inc/conf/conf.database.php) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/habbohag/public_html/WOW/inc/conf/conf.functions.php on line 33"
I don't even have the file conf.database.php in the conf-directory. The file was not included when i downloaded the WOW Website. :(

ofc it's not included, and if it is, delete it, coz its not supposed to be included. the installation creates that file. and that problem has been solved, so please read coz i said im not going to support "how to mange webservers".Quote:

I use Norton firewall, but I closed it down to make sure that was not it. I am using WinXP by the way. I can connect remotely to MySql using Sqlyog but I cant get the website to connect to it.
