WoWEmu Positional Lag & Stances
Hey folks!
I setup a WoWEmu emulated server, 1.11, for myself and a few friends ; we played WoW for a year and a half, but want to go and just have a sandbox of sorts to play in for awhile - till the next game comes along.
I'm having a few oddities that I can't seem to figure out, and was wondering if anyone out there could offer their insight.
Server : P4 2.4 ghz , 1 gig of RAM, DSL connection with 800 kb/s upload.
First off, when initiating combat, most especially when in melee range, there is a bit of a dance thats involved. That is, the relative position of the mob versus the player isn't very accurate, so if the mob is moving, you have to do a bit of running around to hit it. I've heard this is a common problem with emulators, but was wondering if there were any tweaks to help improve it.
The biggest problem I am having at the moment lay with the Warrior class and stances.
The Warrior cannot go into Battle Stance unless the player right clicks on a mob and goes into "combat" mode first. If they aren't in combat, and you click Battle STance, the bar will slide up, then slide immediately back down.
Defensive Stance has a similar problem. Once you go into Defensive, you're locked in and can't get out of it unless you right click on the Defensive icon under your active effects. Clicking another Stance won't work, nor with clicking the defensive stance button to toggle back. With all the problems these stances are having, I was hoping someone might know a fix!
Also I wanted to see if anyone knew a simple way to adjust the Honor system settings so that my friends and I could go in and have some fun, maybe PvP each other, or maybe have some NPCs grant honor, and unlock rewards. Even if it only took an hour or two to unlock every reward - I'd rather have that then just give the items to us.
Thanks so much for your time and I look forward to hearing any ideas you all might have!
