well ok here is my perspective like all mmorpgs if its pay to play they make money every month to pay for the host and pay the employees that help run the server plus developing better content.
in this case its a free to play server people donate to keep server up and running i mean she/he deserves a pay check to for sitting around working on the server keeping it up i mean they do have to pay for the internet they r using at her home and living cost + ur donating noone says that a donating is for a sertin thing its a donation to that person they could use it for just about anything u know?

Guys, Donation system on WoW work like:
People donate, once the server bill is covered, the roll over is collected for next month or w/e or can be used for "pocket money" i know this isnt correct but thats how it really works today. WoWScape probably gets atleast 5k a month my guess, they spend prolly like 1-2k for dedicated server, the extra 3k goes somewhere... If Peyton didnt make any profit why would she just spend her time on the server? Its just logic, private servers are for "extra pocket money" for most of people.
Bingo, If there wasn't any profit there would be no servers from profit i mean donations, Ads, heck even some server make you pay to play its how life goes.
The owner of woscape did post a copy of the server bill some weeks ago, was around 13.000 $ a month..for all servers.

On the T & C of the donation does it say everything is gonna go to the server? all of the donations are going to help the server? I dont think so...You are donating to the server which includes the owner so the owner can spend the money how she seems fit.

A server you can get for 120 euro per MONTH, and thats 1 (!!) server .
THey have like 5 servers at the most, thats like 120x5 = 600 euro per month, and if they pay a little more, hardly around 800 to 1000 euro per month, thats around 1500 DOLLAR per month...
Where does the story of 5k and 15k coming from.

Well when it comes to donations then you cant use all of them on the connection becuse a host only cost around 199$ and if you get over 400$ in then what should you use them on?

Becuse the fixes and stuff is done by codeing, its not done by buying it ....
