    Anti-Virus?

Whats a good anti virus program the has an option to "whitelist" files so if it thinks it is a virus, it wont try to move it or anything at all. Leave it alone I guess.

    Re: Anti-Virus?

Why would you want to keep a virus where it is, and not quarantine it?

Eset Smart Security gives you those options, but for me, it freezes my computer - I dunno why.

    Re: Anti-Virus?

kaspersky internet security , avast pro, eset nod 32 these are the best for me.

i am using avast server edition and avast pro and it rocks. Kasperky is good but it is using a lot of memory. eset is good and fast.

    Re: Anti-Virus?

I posted some scanning results for many anti-virus programs here--

    http://forum.ragezone.com/f116/antiv...3/#post3166618

The results aren't 100% accurate of course, but I'd say get NOD32 or Kaspersky. Being able to whitelist files is a pretty common feature now.

    Re: Anti-Virus?

beacuse there is no best antivirus, all antiviruses fail.
choosing one toyour like from a recommnede list is more sensible, kaspersky personally my dislikes are that kaspersky bind and lock lots of windows files and locks itself to proctect from malicious files or accidental deletion. then later it may be even difficult to remove it.

where i mess about windows ins and out on a daily basis this pisses the hell out of me, i can just disable nod service and it wont start, where kaspersky wont give me permission WTF i own this computer i paid hard cash for this box and i dont have permission i dont bloody think so...

i have had poor experiences with bitdefender - oh deary me
i installed it and no programs work :) bf2 doesnt work, crashes with unhandled memory exception then all of office suite broke, then daemon tools broke, then opera broke then truecrypt broke... all with unhandled exception ... finally vmware broke (last straw allert!)
yeh that was last straw - i uninstalle bit defender and nothing changed ... still breakages everywhere.
so i reinstalled windows and installed vmware, i ran one of my test vmxp pro machines and checked opera everything works then i installed bitdefender and i started getting undandled exeption errors...
so there you go bit defender will fuck your computah up !

unless somebody has bd that works tell me how ?
