average download speed?

You guys are lucky.

1MB/s speed here (download speed) Crap speed found only in the amazon forest regions, Internet here are without proper tuning and corrupted network providers. Government has given subsidies but, they didn't use the money to upgrade their so called "high quality- fiber optice" backbone network.

I don't know how much your pay for but 5mb/s would be about 40mbit on speedtest. 10mb/s from microsoft would be 80mbit.

Translates to real DL speed of 800kb/s min, 1mb/s avg and 1.5mb/s max

100mbit from shaw cable :] It's $130 for my phone/tv/internet all in one. (Mind you I have family who work at shaw so I get a screamin' deal, normally the 100mbit alone is $120)

(It's roughly 20mbit up in addition to the 100 down)
