    Building a PC

Me and my dad decided to a do a little family bonding time.
We decided to build a computer that would be great for gaming and doing graphics + webdesign.

What parts should I buy to make up the PC?
    Please specifiy:

    • RAM
    • Hard drive
    • Motherboard
    • CPU
    • GPU
    • Sound card
    • Monitor
    • GPU Cooling
    • Optical

Mmm, I'm hoping this will be good.

If someone can, please post a good case.

I'm calculating the totals for what you posted..

( a little late, no bumps).

What I'm seeing by by kier1992, needs to be judged..
But, my total that I received was: 1,253.95 for what I wanted

    is it useful to buy?

I think u should buy a new PC not build one becuase you might get hardware failure or errors. Are you looking for desktop or laptop? I was looking at different websites like Dell, HP, Alienware, ect..

Alienware is good for graphics, gaming, high performance, ect..

    Re: Building a PC

I would recommend a nice Dell :-) Let me find a good matchup for you =)

This seems crowded.. and it is, but its a rough $1500 computer form Dell, a Dell XPS M1530 and this build runs exactly 1574.. features 3 GB RAM, 250 GB drive, 15" high def screen, the upgraded power cell (improved battery life) and a midrange Core 2 Duo chip (Dual Core Processor) with the newer 8600M GT Graphics card, so it can run Vista, or switch it out for XP if you prefer.

Take a peek over there, you can highly customize a system! :-) Learn about Dell's notebooks, desktops, monitors, printers plus computer electronics & accessories.

First off if you want a laptop then make sure you get a good warranty for it. Trust me it'll save you lots of money in the long run if you use it a lot.

As for a Linux box. If you want fast system for little money try getting a PS3 and installing Linux on it. Fastest Linux box you can get.
