Ok, thanks for the info
is this graphics card good?
Newegg.com - EVGA 640-P2-N821-AR GeForce 8800GTS 640MB 320-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail
Yes, that's the second best graphics card you can buy nowdays, what kind of games do you plan on playing? I could help you find a card that would suit your gaming needs.
C&C3, GRAW2, Bioshock, any new games that has been release this year
You'll most definitely want a card along those lines then. If you plan on playing Crysis on full quality with a decent resolution I would recommend an 8800GTX.
hmm, the 8800GTX is pretty expensive, ill stick with the Newegg.com - EVGA 640-P2-N821-AR GeForce 8800GTS 640MB 320-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail
Before you pick a card. What CPU do you have?
If you don't have a good enough CPU to feed a high end GPU then it's pointless to get.

CPU? lol sorry but i dont know how or where to get my CPU info.
Edit: nvm, mine is AMD Athlon 64 3800+ 2.40GHz
also, ima be upgrading my ram too. from 1gb to 2-3 GB
To be so awsome in Software and coding you dont seem to know a whole lot about hardware...It's cool tho, we're on teh same page :)
so do my cpu support the graphics card that i wantd to buy?
Does it support it? Yes. Will you get the full performance out of it? Not at all.
You'll need at least a good dual core CPU to feed the power to the 8800.
Your best bet if you have to have DX10 is a 8800GTS 320mb. But even then your CPU wont make any use out of it.
I would say get a 8600 series as your CPU is good enough for them but they are pointless for DX10 as they are too weak to run them and you can get better DX9 cards for the same price.
So if you have to have DX10 then get a 8800 320mb and think about upgrading your CPU.
If you don't have to have DX10 then go for the x1900 series cards.

Ok, thanks. One last question. should i get nvidia or ati radeon or wever?
so uuuh, is that one good enough?
Yes it's good enough. A very powerful card.
NoPeace - out
Ok, i will go for that card
