    Creating my own VPN server

    Hi

I want to create my own VPN Access Server that I can use, any thoughts or tips before I start?

    Maybe:
    Any software recommendations?
    Hardware recommendations?
    General tips?
What OS should I install it on?
Can I use an VPN Access Server as a TCP Proxy aswell?
    etc..

    Regards,
    oleaa

VPN server can be any big or small, important thing is the connection it bares. As you're gonna use it as your own internet. Linux is recommended for security purposes and because Linux is meant to be a server software anyways. These are my thoughts and opinions.

There is also a Community Version of the OpenVPN Software. You can find it here: https://openvpn.net/index.php/open-source.html
