I have a DVD-RW, it was about 2 years old ?
When I insert a disk in drive (H.L Data Storage GH15N), the light turns yellow like it's starting. I can hear the disk spin, then it just stops, and the light goes out. The drive won't play or read.
I checked the device manager. It displays the disk drive with "This device is working properly."
Do any of you know what's wrong with my DVD rom ?
Probably dead. Just get a new one, it's like $15.

I have a stack of 8 dead DVD drives, they tend to die quite fast for some reason. Mind you they are all IDE drives, but still.
