I got windows live movie maker but it kind of fails i want something good for making montages any ideas?

sony vegas pro or adobe after effects.

They are free on some sites if you know what i mean.

I do not think you could find anything efficient for free. If you are professionally into montage then you might want to buy Adobe After Effects, Vegas Pro or even Adobe Premiere? If you just want to have montage making as a hobby, then you are better off with movie maker.

Good + Free = Impossible.
