Re: Got these parts for a PC...
Didn't really give us enough information, or you were very vague about it.
Does anything come on at all? Does your power supply boot? Do you see any lights on your mobo? Does your CPU fan spin? Is the speaker on the front panel jumpers plugged in?
Make sure everything is plugged in and in the appropriate spots (obviously). Also make sure none of your risers are touching any of the soldering on the bottom of the mobo. Most people either don't have the front panel wires connected properly or didn't plug in both motherboard power cables / didn't push them down all the way for fear of breaking something.
Your mobo should POST with nothing but a power supply, the mobo itself and a CPU. If you hear no beeps then your speaker isn't connected correctly. If nothing happens then either your power supply or mobo is fucked.
If the power supply doesn't come on then disconnect it from the mobo, plug it in to the wall and use a paperclip to bridge the green wire with any black wire. If nothing happens your PSU is dead.

Re: Got these parts for a PC...
Heres some more that i spoke about with my mate:
First off: no post beep (OF DOOM)
And the fan on the gfx card isn't working so i was like oh ok, ill try it in the other slot NOPE
So i thought well it could just be the gfx card so i threw it in my other PC to try it out WORKS FINE
CPU fan: works

Re: Got these parts for a PC...
has it got on bord video, if yes plug into that first change bios setting to detect video card or disable the on board video card.
make sure its not the screen or the PSU
from looking that the parts it maybe your PSU get a 650W

Re: Got these parts for a PC...
PSU wouldn't keep a computer from booting unless it was bad...too little power will let it boot up but as the fans spool up due to temp rising it will BSOD when it can't keep the current up...
550 is more than enough per:
eXtreme Outer Vision - eXtreme tools for computer enthusiasts
which calculates power needed in system...I put in everything he said he bought...added a dvdrw that he didnt say and a few fans...and it says it only requires 312W.

Re: Got these parts for a PC...
If it boots then are you sure you don't need to install drivers for the card (so plug the monitor into the onboard GFX connector and that should show a screen), also if everything spins then I'm not sure apart from either a lack of power but I have had a similar card to that in the past and it ran fine on 650W so not sure if power is the issue, although I'm not certain it is.
Ron's idea is probably the best to figure out what's wrong
