Hello dear, RAM issue
I am building a simple music computer. I installed Ubuntu on it and a some small harddrives. But now I have a problem using all 4 Ram-sticks.(Because I want to have 1gb RAM).
I have 2 twinMOS PC133 256MB SDR/CL3,
1 PC3200(CL2.5) 256 DDR-DIMM
And 1 DDR333(2.5) 256MB
I have 4 slots on my motherboard and they all fit in, only with 2 of the same type they work. But is there a way that I can change something in the bios, so all the sticks will work?:)

Re: Hello dear, RAM issue
if you want that too work you must have 4 memory modules of the same type.
You have 3 different types of memory, i'am afraid that isn't gonne work.

Re: Hello dear, RAM issue
1 PC3200(CL2.5) 256 DDR-DIMM
And 1 DDR333(2.5) 256MB work together
and 2 twinMOS PC133 256MB SDR/CL3 work together.
There are 4 places where I can put them. Why does 1 PC3200(CL2.5) 256 DDR-DIMM
And 1 DDR333(2.5) 256MB work together and all 4 not?

Re: Hello dear, RAM issue
Try sticking the two twinMOS sticks in slots 1 and 3, the others in the remaining slots.

Re: Hello dear, RAM issue
They are not working together because your sticks of PC3200 and PC2700 (the DDR333) are DDR, while the other 2 sticks (the PC133) are SDRAM.
You have to choose which one to want to use, and i would recommend using the matched pair of 2 SDRAM sticks instead of the mismatched pair. If your RAM slots are color coded, put them in the same color slots.
