How to fix Windows 7 Aero Lag!

Hello,

I have been fiddling with Windows 7 Aero, I tried the Microsoft fix and it didn't work but today, I FOUND IT OUT MYSELF!
Since Microsoft are being so stupid and ignoring this at the moment here is the Fix that I don't know fully work it may just be temporarily fixed while my Windows PC has started but it may stop working when I shutdown.

Fixing this issue
1. Right-click on Desktop then choose "Windows 7" in the Aero themes in "Personalize".
2. Now Click on the bottom bar "Window Colour" and un-tick the "Enable Transparency" option.
3. Click save then you should be all sorted.

That's not a "fix" seeing as it completely defeats the purpose of Aero, also "Aero lag"? Only time I can see that happening is by being severely under the minimum requirements for W7

Download TuneUp Utilities and follow all the optimization steps. Then, enable Turbo Mode :) 99.99% guarantee you will see an increase in performance. Otherwise, get a hardware upgrade.

Here's an idea: Don't use Aero on a PC which can't handle it.

That is not a fix, you're simply disabling the main Aero feature. Why don't you just disable Aero altogether then? Use windows classic theme?

The aero theme just looks alot better than Windows 7 Basic.

Yes, it does. But just because your PC is below the required specs for Aero, doesn't mean that Aero makes PC's lag. Your PC just can't handle it.

Disabling Aero is your fix for less lag when using Aero? mindfuck?

I have a 4-5 year old rig atm and I get no lag with Aero. 5GB Ram, 1.73GHz dual core, GeForce 7300LE.

Just use classic. There is nothing wrong with it. I don't need no fancy interface on my computer, just a usable one.
