Right, my secondy HDD is failing so I've ordered a 128gb SSD drive. What advice/tips do you offer your most noble of admins?
Thanks.

Install your OS into the SSD otherwise most of it's benefits are lost due to overhead created on the OS whenever you do anything on the pc
If you're running a windows :
switch temp folder to a HDD otherwise it will eat up a lot of your SSD just to store stuff temporary e.g. when opening a win rar
I also thought about the page files but you could argue that the page files actually boost your performance a lot if they are on the SSD, even if they cost as many GB as your Ram is big
well my current primary hd will be my backup for the SSD. I'll transfer the partitions over using paragon ssd migration (quicker and easier). I'll only keep basic stuff on the SSD (Browser, recording software and such..) otherwise the backup harddrive will store all the data.
128gb is just a fail-safe since 64 is just too little.
Disable system restore & indexing & default Defrag. Enable trim & write caching.

Also the 128GB simply performs better than 64GB, which one did you get btw?
Excellent choice of SSD! Have one myself as well.
i figured people would approve ^__^ don't worry! the new firmware is badass and i'm totally ready to flash.
Superman had anal rapeage with an HDD, and out popped an SSD.
So yeah, SSD's rock in every way. You will let loose a HUGE smile when you realize the difference it makes in all around performance on your computer, bud!
aww man so keen to get an SSD now ._.
Lol, that took you long enough. :P
