No sata3? and firmware update= required as it fixes a huge bug.

Yeah I'm on v000F firmware at the moment. Came with 0309.

Bit of tweaking.

- switched to AHCI mode instead of IDE
- disabled indexing
- defragmenting turned off
- disabled system restore



Most of the performance gain was switching to AHCI mode.
