$1 billion please! Have to agree with the article though that this should be a time for cross-licensing and stopping these petty patent disputes. Although I think Apple should lose this and Google use the patent on the Notification bar against apple to encourage cross licensing.
Honestly I was going to buy an iPhone 5. Seeing how they dodn't support tmobile (speeds) and it's a dual core, I decided to pass.
On a bright side, iPhone 4S prices should drop down at least $100 and maybe up to $200 on craigslist.
Anyway gonna look for Galaxy S3
Apparently all some people care about is what's on the face of the iphone. Why people upgrade is because of the hardware changes. You'd have to be completely retarded to not see that. Why the hell would I stick with a snail slow iPhone 3/3G that's limited to isOS3/4 when I can upgrade to much better phone that's way faster.
My friend has an iPhone 3G and we drive him every time we see it because it takes forever for apps to come up, and that's if it doesn't crash on him lol. I'd trade my A4 for an A6 any day of the week.
Also, why would they change the UI every new release? That's the main reason why I hate google phones with a passion. Every new android has a different layout/UI you have to waste time trying to figure out. No thank you, I'm an American, and I treasure my laziness.
Also I see no reason to constantly change your UI, other then some weird need to constantly be unique.
Talk about iPhones being the same. The only thing android ever majorly changes is it's software, and it rolls out the same hardware every time. I'd rather spend money on better hardware, then on something that looks different but is nearly exactly the same.
They change basically change 1 colour each time to signify the difference, there really isn't that much changed to the UI at all. Gingerbread (2.3) used a green colour, Honeycom (3.x) ICS (4.0) uses a lighter blue, JB (4.1) uses a different kind of blue since it's not a major. The only time that I can really think of when the UI has been overhauled was maybe the white status bar between Froyo & Gingerbread for the most part it's stayed relatively the same.

iPhone 5 is sexy. And 64GB only costs 400$.. ;)))
100% Wrong about Android, Each Version of android adds features, android phones have much better hardware than any iphone lets look at some of the phones Quad Core proccessors and a gb to 1.5 gbs of ram and now people are even stablely overclocking there phones over 2.0ghz. The difference between android users and apple users is android users know what they want, and they what there paying for, as for apple users simply buy for the name. I think its sad that Apple hasn't even added simple Gorella Glass, Everyone I know with a iPhone has a cracked screen. Newer android phones / some older ones will always beat Apple phones benchmark scores. Sorry.
Another argument people always make is that iPhone has Siri but now Android has Skyvi and many other apps that do the same shit, not including that Android Jelly Bean 4.1 Google Now works even better.
And no that is not why people upgrade it may be a small reason but most people want the newest thing, And every update / upgrade you get from apple are the tinyest little changes which to me seem like they could have pushed out in earlier iphones. All it is a scam for them to spend minimal effort but the make more profit.
You know..... People are just buying things because their new nowdays. I garuntee 95% of people would buy the 4s if it came out after this and was called the "5s".
Apple knows this already, and its why they do that. People will buy Apple shit, all they have to do is add a letter to the name and call it new.
Everyone who bought an iPhone 5 would upgrade to a "5s" or a "5gt" even if it was only released 4 months down the line just because its new Apple BS.
