Something you ALWAYS see in concept art designs is this "projector" idea or the idea of a projected, motion-sensing keyboard. I don't get why though. Also interesting use of GTA V leaked/rumoured gameplay

Sorry, but every time I see a new iPhone all I think is, "bigger screen yay".
At first I thought it was real, then I realized it wasn't.
Anyway, it'd be pretty sick if that was out, but then again, as some people said, I am thinking that every time a new iPhone comes out, the screen is just larger, and a few more features.

Same stuff as in the video for the iPhone 5, they're just going to come out with another iPhone with a slimmer design, a bigger screen and higher susceptibility to cracks.
Because spending heaps on marketing totally means they come up with new and good ideas? Spending on marketing is the complete opposite really, it means you don't have to innovate. Do you seriously think the iphone was the first smart phone? That the ipod was the first mp3 players? Well, if you do, I guess Apples marketing was money well spent!
As for research, all their hardware comes from other countries (namely Samsung, oh the irony), and most software is rehashed of other companies stuff, albeit often made to be simpler and pretty.

The next iPhone is more than likely going to be the iPhone 5S, and will be lighter, faster and thinner.
It may also be available in a range of colours (like the iPod Touch).
It will possibly have NFC, but will not have any major changes.
Apple only ever use technology that has been developed and nearly perfected, then using it themselves - for example, video chat came to mobile phones way before 2007, but it wasn't integrated into the iPhone until 2010 when they could make it work well. I think people expect too much from Apple nowadays. They're about to fall, especially without Steve Jobs at the helm.
