You could always ping it.
Yeah, i looked at the properties (get info on macintosh) and it only brought up the alias name. Besides, what would i ping in terminal?
Ping _name_ it should show the ip
I tried pinging the alias of the server, but it said invalid host name or something
nslookop <IP> also give host name, if DNS in working.
but i don't have the IP at my disposal

somewhere in ddwrt you can see the ip addresses of who is connected to your router (ddwrt is a custom linux based firmware for routers) Yay opening the same port to more then 1 object for sexbox lan parties.
