ok this is my computers specs, i was wondering if i get a 1 gb ram card would it help me run games smoother?

not to sure about computers or anything but i know how to add and switch stuff out so i was considering it.

well u need two things, ram and graphics card.
radeon 200 xpress is kak - you dont state wether you have agp or pci-e slots available to you .. which would help

Well like I said i don't know much about computers but i was looking online and found a 1 gb ram card for 45$ i was thinking of getting one now and waiting about a month and getting a second one to max my ram tho ive never really had any problems with my graphics card. I normaly play games like Amercias army, gunz (witch ive been lagging on that badly latley, and lineage 2 here, other than that i just play crap games like mu online or solider front.

as for a graphics card if i DO need a new one what would be the best but cheapist posible way to go? i'm not a very rich person its rare i have extra money to do stuff like this.


but yeah my computer is just a Emachines modle is a W3400 search that for what your looking for all i know is whats on the front of the sticker man XD

1 gb ram makes ur computer faster and may make you playing games better but if you are going to play games you need a good graphics card

well i run lineage with everthing on high most of the time and it only lags when i go to teleport or when i am first getting into a town i think my graphics card can handle the game itsself bu im only running on 412 mbs of ram 100 mbs is being used by something. but as for a budget i know so far i got about 140-160$ and i found a 1 gb ram card i can get from the net for 45$

Get a new graphics card as well. will help with your lagg problem, I have a intel one, and its not very good, i need to get a new one cause I lag a bit as well and i have a gig. My graphics card blows and i only lag when theres chat enabled and alot of action. xD I should be getting a desktop this summer.

i'd say that more Ram is the least of your worries, you have two options to improve your performance.

1. buy a graphics card (from a physical store, cards brought of the net are likely to be too recent to work in your computer)

2. buy a new pc

and if one of you tells him to get an 8/9 series nvidia card im gonna laugh at your uneducated ass
