    Laptop?

Well, I'm not really knowledgeable on this topic, so I'm going to ask around for help.

What are the best laptop manufacturers/brands/etc?
I need something that has a relatively large resolution, and can handle VERY intense graphics(extreme 3d models, as an example).

Of course, laptops have different specs for this, which I will look into myself, later.

So, any recommended laptops/manufacturers/brands that can handle highly-intense graphics?

Yes, it has to be a laptop.
I could get a desktop, but then there would be difficulties.
You can also name desktops, though, since I'll be looking into them, as well.

    Re: Laptop?

Core i5, GT 460m Graphics, and an 18" screen. Cant go wrong with that! The only issue with getting a larger laptop, is youll be plugge dinto a wall to run it.. Ive got a powerhouse laptop as well that I do gaming on during LAN events, and I can go ~2 hours or so without plugging in.
    Newegg.com - TOSHIBA Qosmio X505-Q8100X NoteBook Intel Core i5 2410M(2.30GHz) 18.4" 4GB Memory DDR3 1333 500GB HDD 7200rpm DVD Super Multi NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M

By the way, those stats are jsut a recommendation - I probably wouldnt buy a Toshiba, but it has all the right stats on it. The only improvements woudl be trying to find a laptop with 8gigs of ram w/ a blu-ray drive... but it starts getting really expensive at that point!

Get a desktop man... Else you'll be pouring money down the drain.

Pick out a nice i7 with an ATi HD6950/70, few GB RAM and get an SSD aswell.

Paying for portability is actually a good thing to do sometimes - If I want to take a trip somewhere, I would MUCH rather pick up my laptop, put it in my backpack, and all done - you cant lug a desktop with you to work and back either.. it just doesn't happen.
