Just disable your mic?
I want to be able to talk to them while I stream. If you have no solutions for my specific question, please don't say anything.
Download VAC (Visual Audio Cable) and make separate audio lines.

That would block off just my chat. I need to be able to mute the skype call while still having sounds from my PC.

You have no idea the full effect of VAC.
You can still have Skype and your stream running, but with it you can also just stream audio from whatever content you are streaming from while it never picks up Skype.
Here's an example.
EDIT: REPLACE 'SKYPE' WITH 'VIDEO'
