    [Mobile} Droid X

Thinking of upgrading to a smart phone and I'm looking at the droid X.

Besides the low battery when used a lot anything else I should know about?

I was thinking the new thunderbolt but I don't like the way the screen look(user interface I guess is what it is called).

Mainly the phone would be used for forum browsing, MSN chatting, texting, phone calls, music, the normal stuff really.

So any word on the Droid X and how it performs? Recommend another phone similar to the droid x that has gotten to 4g?

P.S. The phone I'm upgrading from is a Samsung Rogue

My first choice was a evo 4g but it's a sprint phone and apparently Verizon won't support it.

I was thinking about the Iphone but I hate the lack of customization like you said.

Yes dont worry about evo or droid they run almost the same hardware and both android. even tho droid is a lil bigger and buttons are diff they have same screen.

only diff is the pricing plans sprint is way better and has faster 4g speed than verison

It is a good choice, web browsing wont be the same as iphone but itll do it.

Thats true, been looking at plans with Verizon to move off the family plan and it get expensive with the requirements. Looking at 89.99 a month just for 450 min of calling/unlimited texting/unlimited data plan :P
But thinking I'll stick with a droid x then for my next upgrade for now then! If I'm lucky and the new droid bionic will be out by the time I actually go to get a upgrade.

Personally I hate the look of a lot of the new phones coming up, the round corners just don't appeal to me for some reason :(. I love a large screen, clean user interface, and a strong web browser.

I might sample the Iphone to see if it grows on me just for the sake of being a picky buyer.

    Thank you by the way.
