[Mobile] HTC Desire HD

Well, long story short, I got sick of my current Nokia X6, and decided to go on a contract with free phone included.

I've set my mind on HTC Desire HD. But I need a few pointers, cons, pros, advices, etc.

Why is the phone good? What's bad about it? Is it slow? Do I need to jailbreak it?

I am sorry, I am completely new to Android phones, so I know shit.

Pros:
- it's not a phone anymore, you basically get a small computer

Cons:
- with all the shit turned on (WIFI, bluetooth, 3g, 4g, data, etc etc) the battery life will seem a bit too short. But you can get a tool from market (thats where you get apps) and that tool will manage all needed shit. i.e. switch to wifi at home if you have wifi, as well as turn off data plan and 3g crap. When you launch gps app it will start gps and disable it when you turn it off.

But you will get used to it.

The only real con to this phone would have is the size of it and maybe the battery. I'm saying the battery because the hardware is powerful compared to what the battery has to offer.


The pros are pretty basic, multi touch screen, dual cameras with flash, android OS, you can record 720P movies.



I would personally suggest a different phone, maybe the Motorola Atrix, it's a dual core phone with more than reasonable specs. Here's a link to a review of the Desire HD. It all depends on what phones are offered to you though.
