well i got payed this morning so i've finally sorted out my budget

Uhm, not to disapoint you, and i dont know if im right,
but looks like the motherboard uses socket AM2+ and the processor uses AM2.

I duno if there's a difference,

but anyways, looks like a great gamerpc :)

Oh, a quick search on google and i found this from Wiki, Sorry ;)

AMD confirmed that AM2 processors will work in AM2+ motherboards and AM2+ processors will work on AM2 motherboards.

yeah am2+ cpu's will work in am2 sockets too, so i think im alright on that, the Am2+ one is only used by phenom at the moment, which i may upgrade to at a later date (one bonus of having the motherboard as the most expensive part of a system)

I'd go for an Intel :P E21xx ftw! Also you could spend a little more on a gfx card if you want to be able to play anything.

well then in a computer fair you can get 2.8ghz p4 with 512 ram and 20gb hdd for 75
