overclocking my laptop

can i overclock it to 2.0ghz it 1.9ghz right now without my laptop overheating

if its not overclocked and you have a laptop cooler underneath, i guess u can try...but if it feels a little too hot, off it... (stick a thermometer to moniter current temp and temp when u overclock?)

100mhz will make absolutely NO difference.

Also you NEVER overclock a laptop, they can actually melt. Laptop CPU heatsinks + fans are too small to accommodate any heat above the factory settings.

They told you that you should not do it because it may damage your computer and you would not notice any extra speed.
If you want to speed up your computer then use software like ccleaner, defraggler and other tools that optimize your computer.
