    Re: POINTLESS mice

Because for serious gamers, a mouse that is too heavy or too light can make a real difference. There are a handful of mice that have exchangeable weights. Usually only for Professionals since it doesn't really make a difference to normal users.

Not just for gamers but if you are doing art work on the computer or anything really that needs precision. The ability to adjust the weight of the mouse is a big advantage as you can tune it to what you like to use best.

    Re: POINTLESS mice

back in the days of ms ball mice i wanted to add weight to my mouse - but then again i would have had a freakishly muscular right arm by now ...

but yeh weights is a nice touch i would like a turbo fire button on a mouse so u click once and it 200times clicks :)

    Re: POINTLESS mice

Don't see how much difference it would make though, it is only 30gramms when all the weights r in... thats less than the weight of my pen lol

    Re: POINTLESS mice

artists don't usually use mice they use tracker balls.
And on series gaming i don't think it does make a difference because i took a battery out my mouse because it can work with only one in and that didn't make much difference.

Track balls have been replaced by pads. And it depends on what the hell you are doing. I've seen a lot of people use mice for 3d Modeling.

    Re: POINTLESS mice

Turbo button is cheating :P And it's a part of every game to click until you die!

A little more ontopic, I've tried a few mices with weights you can replace and I can't really say I have much use for it, I seem to learn to use whatever mouse I get within time. Unless it's like really big/heavy or small/light.
