Publicly Hosted DNS Servers.. Would It Work?

Hi,

So recently I setup an ad-blocking DNS server on my Raspberry Pi.. and it got me thinking.. what if users could opt-in to hosting a DNS server, and adding it to a cluster... Do you think this could work? Would you opt-into this?
