"Netflix "Watch Now" feature for Linux and Mozilla Firefox Use

    Dear Friends,

I have just read and signed the online petition:

"Netflix "Watch Now" feature for Linux and Mozilla Firefox Use"

hosted on the web by PetitionOnline.com, the free online petition
    service, at:

Netflix "Watch Now" feature for Linux and Mozilla Firefox Use Petition

I personally agree with what this petition says, and I think you might
agree, too. If you can spare a moment, please take a look, and consider
    signing yourself.

    Best wishes,

    Spencer A. Lockhart

PS: EVEN IF YOU DON'T USE LINUX, sign this to show your support for these great desktop users who pay (or would like to) pay for Netflix "Watch Now" feature. All you have to do is agree Linux users should have the right to watch Netflix on their desktop computers (if they pay for the service, of course ;)

    Who wouldn't agree to that?

Netflix works fine on Opera spoofing it's self as windows firefox on Linux...

Or even Chromium I think? I really avoid bashing browsers but it's time to move on, firefox has been far surpassed by both chrome and now Opera which is growing better and better every update they release.

Can you provide screen shots and/or a guide to get this working?
Because it doesn't work on Linux Desktops.

It works on Androids and ROKU (not desktops)- other than Chrome OS, there's no apparent plan for a DRM (digital rights management) decryptor for the Linux Desktop (Or Moonlight in general).. I've had this chat with a Silverlight/C#/M$ activist that refused to believe Silverlight and C# for Microsoft could do more than Moonlight+C# for Linux.. and claimed "microsoft is open now.." or whatever.. Pff, my ass. anyway

Even if you have some make-shift wine, I'd like to see a screenshot, because I read all night that it doesn't work. I don't want to see Windows on a virtual machine.. ofc that works..

And I tried Opera- I'm a fan of opera. I almost got it to work with user-agent switchers- on multiple browsers..

Guess what? Firefox got closest to actually working.

Netflix gave me an answer which makes sense,

    Off topic,
Not saying firefox is the world or anything, but what's your problem with it? It's standards compliant, open-source, HTML5 support is good so far, Gecko engine is good.. I use all the browsers and I don't complain about firefox :/

Sure, Opera is nice- better than Rekonq- I'm not a fan of doing heavy-tweaking to make things work.

Hell, I don't have a problem with Windows if you stay off the Internet and use it to play games..

Only problem I have with Firefox, is it makes people with Windows feel safer.. As does Opera and Chrome... And even IE :/ Though I must admit, IE's been much better lately.. For a windows browser.

    They won't do it.
It's not Netflix's "fault" really, it's just how Silverlight works.
