well, for gaming you will need a graphics card :) unless your laptop is exclusively fitted with a motherboard that supports upgradable nvidia portable gpus - u are screwed.

what games are you trying to play ?

Gaming laptops are possible but pretty dumb. Anyways all you need basically is a good graphics card and a good video card.

Graphics card and video card are one in the same ;)

Also laptops are largely not upgradable. You will have an EXTREMELY hard time trying to upgrade anything apart from the RAM and hard drive. Just buy a desktop or a brand new laptop.

Instead of buying a new one. i can just rebuild this one, i am not talking, "Upgrading" much, But Re-building.

New parts. Processor, Hard Drive. ect.

ok do you know if your chipset supports a newer processor ?
how much ram does it support ?
also if the gpu is kak - it will bottleneck the cpu and you wont see a dramatic increase in performace.
research your laptop - find out everything you can about it then decide how you can rebuild it.

CodeinCody : i see you are clueless about what i was talking about..
    All about MXM
    upgradable laptop graphics modules -

"Re-building" with new parts is the same as upgrading. You will not be able to change the GPU, nor change the CPU easily. You'd have to rip everything out to change the CPU and even then, is it compatible? Can the laptop handle any heat generated by the CPU? Will battery life suffer?

While more memory does help, it will hardly satisfy your needs.

The only real option here is to buy a new laptop.
