What do you mean? Safe mode only loads the very core system files you need. It should definitely help.

I'd reccomend you to download Dr.Web's CureIt, boot into safemode and perform a full scan with that.

Yep get Anti Malware Anti bytes. It's the perfect program for such viruses and it catches them everytime.

I had some trouble getting AMAB up in safemode, so if you can't get in safemode heres a tip. (Since you probably can't install programs). Save the .exe on your desktop, restart computer. The virus normally takes some time to launch, so as soon as you see the icon on the desktop after reboot, open it and install. Now reboot again, then open the program and do a scan. After the scan, it'll ask you to reboot again.

    And you're free.

Most effective way of removing a infection. Is manually deleting it. Check all of your windows dir, temp dir, etc. And run through your registry keys to see if anything suspicious is being called to run at startup. Even check your startup dir. Download Process Explorer and see what process's are running that are suspicious as a child to explorer.exe. You should pinpoint the issues within minutes.

Actually, it isn't. The virus might be able to copy itself and manually searching for all of its copies can be a pain. In most of the cases this can be avoided using the solutions suggested above.

Download a cracked BitDefender, nod32, or get M$ Security Essentials if your windows in genuine.

Boot to safe mode and do a deep scan. You'll get rid of anything you may have.

I say download a cracked version because you obviously don't have an antivirus nor the will to purchase one.

A cracked program is probably how he got the virus in the first place, lol.

You have to know what cracks to use. :P

I mean, obviously don't browse a forum and download a link from someone's post who only has 3 posts on that site.

Still, most people who post cracks aren't the one who created them so they might be unaware that they are in fact sharing a malware.

I tried myself doing that, but theres so much to delete, and sometimes when you delete one thing, it reinstalls itself. It can sometimes be more or less time consuming. Easier to have an antivirus to launch in safemode. Takes less than 4 minutes for it.
