    Sound Cards

Well, seen as though I have broke my on-board sound card I am now looking to purchase a new one and I wondered if anyone can recommend a good sound card. It has to work with win7.

    Low:
    Creative Audigy SE

    Medium:
    Asus Xonar D1
    Creative X-fi Audio

    High:
    Asus Xonar D2
    Asus Xonar Essence ST

I don't think the Audigy se has official drivers for win 7 but with some google help you can make it work.
I recommend the Xonar D1 one for best price/sound quality.

Ehhh price for price, just get a good X-Fi card and call it good, they have fiber out as well - so if your using a good speaker set you can simplify the audio and have a good clean digital coming out.

You really dont need much from a computers audio card to get what you need - you should sink the real money into a good sound system, or good headphones.

How did you hook up your Z5500 to your X-fi card ?
Via the 3.5mm jacks or digital out/in ?
