Turning my old PC into a media center

    Hi,
I've had this PC since 2007 (it was a family PC up until 2010), and it's been sitting around for a good while now. It's a dell dimenson e521 (http://www.pcworld.com/product/29437...sion-e521.html). Could I do anything useful with it (without changing parts around)?

I was considering turning it into a basic media center for watching films and whatnot - would this be a good idea?

    Thanks,
    Adil

I use a program called Serviio on my Media center....any device on the network be it tablet, phone, TV, or computer can play anything I have on it...it even has remote access capabilities...and it's free!

I recommend using Plex or KODI (formerly known as XBMC). I used both in the past, Plex is nice for streaming to all devices while KODI is nice for having a media center that is hooked up to a TV. I highly recommend one of those.
