Just did a little research and OEM versions do not come with warranties. So make sure you keep that in mind if you want to experiment with overclocking ; if anything happens you have to buy a new one.

Well, I am going by the boards at l2guru.com, as I am not rich enough to buy two computers and test out different core setups.
Quote:
in vista i believe it uses every core available to l2 (although i'm not 100% as i have a dual core cpu)
Heres the thread I am going by: http://www.l2guru.com/forum/showthread.php?t=103286Quote:
Windows vista is a nessity for LineageII to properly load balance across all the cores of a CPU... On my quad core, in windows xp... a single CPU was pegged to the max, while in vista, all of them were load balanced on average of 10-15% per. With windows xp, running multiple clients, typically the result was unpredictable.. and performance was considerable worse.
They have a stupid rule of I need 20 posts before being able to make a new topic. -.-
Alrighty, whipped this up real quick on the NCIXUS site.
Processor Intel Q6600
Motherboard ASUS P5Q
RAM G.SKILL 4GB DDR2-1000*
Video Card Diamond Radeon HD4850
Hard Drive WD 500GB
Optical Drive Samsung DVD Burner
Case Coolermaster CM690
Power Supply Corsair VX550W
TOTAL: $852.66
*I have two of these kits (8GB total) and they run beautifully with my QX6850 and 750i FTW, definitely recommend.
Rule of thumb, never buy a case that comes with a power supply (unless its Antec) - why spend all that money on good quality components and watch em be totally destroyed by an el cheapo power supply?
I also recommend you not go with TigerDirect. I don't know what they're like south of the border, but in Canada... they aren't all that loved and are beaten easily in terms of pricing.
