What should I upgrade next with my PC?

I built a PC a little while ago, and have about $450 to throw in to upgrade some parts. I was thinking about just buying some GTX 970 card, but am thinking I may have a bottleneck elsewhere that I should take care of instead.

My main problems right now are low FPS while gaming, and not great graphics when designing (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc). What should I spend the $450 on?

My current build:

  • Kingston SSDNow V300 Series SV300S37A/120G 2.5" 120GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
  • MSI 760GM-P23 (FX) AM3+ AMD 760G + SB710 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
  • EVGA 100-W1-500-KR 500W ATX12V / EPS12V 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC 3 Year Warranty Power Supply Intel 4th Gen ...
  • EVGA GeForce GT 640 02G-P4-2645-KR 2GB 128-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card
  • Fractal Design Define Mini Black Micro ATX Silent PC Computer Case w/ USB 3.0 support and 2 x 120mm Fractal Design ...
  • AMD FX-6300 Vishera 6-Core 3.5GHz (4.1GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 95W FD6300WMHKBOX Desktop Processor
  • Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive
  • PNY XLR8 8GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model MD8192SD3-1600-X9

Any thoughts on my next priority? I just don't want to go too high on the graphics card and then need a better power supply or something. I'd rather build up slowly and figure it all out, an order in which I should upgrade.

Ideally, I would like to start streaming some gaming and continue designing.

What about a GTX 960? I'd like some extra money to upgrade some other things (maybe another 8 GB of RAM). Is it worth doing that?
