    VGA to HDMI

Ok well i wanted to connect my computer to my tv using vga but it has no VGA input ..... it only has HDMI what are some ways to get to hdmi from vga?

I got one idea but not sure if it will work
This- Walmart.com: Belkin Pro Series VGA to DVI- Digital Video Interface Adapter (DVIF/HDDB15M): Computers And Amazon.com: Cables Unlimited PCM-2296-06 HDMI to DVI D Cable, 6 feet: Electronics

    Will that work?

I think you will need active converter since the signal is being converted from low to high vga > hdmi. Also active converter will support higher resolution.

Just saying. Might be bit wrong

That's a DVI>HDMI cable, you're looking for a VGA>HDMI cable. Getting a VGA>DVI adapter with that cable would work but wouldn't give you any sound since DVI only sends a video signal.

    Re: VGA to HDMI

It depends on the monitor you are plugging into.. On my second laptop, my netbook, I can go VGA to HDMI without an issue into my current monitor, and it isnt using an active link - fully passive.
